Oprah Apr. 18th, 2005 @ 05:07 pm
Did anyone see the Oprah Winfrey show today?? Jon Stewart and Cameron Diaz was on. Cameron Diaz made me want to throw up when she said that she really wantet a voluptuous body instead of the trim and slim body she has now. People like that make me so mad. I'm not overweight, but it just irks me that a super-slim model like person gripes about her body which most of us can only dream of having. Does anyone elso feel the same way as I do? ARGGGGGGG!!

Who is BR you ask? Apr. 14th, 2005 @ 11:00 pm

For those of you who read my last journal entry and are wondering who the heck Basil Rathbone is, I will tell you

He was a popular actor in many films between 1930-1960. He played in many famous roles, but he is most famous for his role as Sherlock Holmes in the 1940s. He played the detective along with Nigel Bruce as the great DR. Watson. These films are very good, not long, and entertaining.

Rathbone is a wonderful Holmes, and I think that he should have gotten more notice than he did. Like I said before, he's not what you'd call classicly handsome, but something about his mannerisms and his distinct voice that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

If you want to know more about the great Basil Rathbone, go the this website http://www.basilrathbone.net for more information.

This site has everything you want to know about the guy. I don't know who created it, but they seem to like Basil Rathbone even more than I do. When you look at his pictures, please be aware that the Basil Rathbone that I think is sexy is based on how he looked in the mid 30s through the late 40s. Anytime after 1949 and he starts to get creepy looking.

I would love to hear from anyone who shares the same views as I concerning Sherlock Holmes,  as well as views about other ideas as well.

Day 1 Apr. 14th, 2005 @ 10:41 pm

OK, I am finally admitting it to the world!! I am a helpless obsessive freak over Sherlock Holmes.

I have a weakness for brainy men

I like pipes

I adore mysteries

And the most scary thing of all:  I think Basil Rathbone was sexy (I say "was" because he's been dead for like 30 yrs)

Am I the only one who feels this way?

Out of the 6 million or so people on this site, surely someone is a Sherlock fan. I hope so. Well anyways.

I am also a major Lord of the Rings fan (books)  and Phantom of the Opera fan  (2004 movie)
